Hey! I’m Makenzey Mae and I’m glad you’re here! Originally from rural Illinois, I moved to Chicago for school 12+ years ago and, like most people who move to Chicago, fell in love with the city.

I know firsthand that life gets busy and our passions and interests can start to take a backseat. There’s a season for everything (hello, motherhood), but no matter how much (or how little) time you have, there’s always space for creating some spice in your life - whether it’s trying a new coffee shop, scoring cheap flights for a weekend getaway, or adding a scarf to your outfit.

I’m all about realistic adventures, moments, and creativity.

I created this blog to document just that. To document new coffee shops I try. To capture the beauty of an attainable weekend trip (even if I’m only staying at the Holiday Inn). To photograph my mom moments on film - hey, my park outfit may be worse for wear, but seeing my daughter smiling on film is priceless.
