Best Coffee Shops in Orange County, CA
Over the course of 6+ years making annual trips to California, we’ve frequented a lot of coffee shops. My husband, Jason, and I have become coffee lovers (from starting out as hating it), and we enjoy trying new shops, particularly trying lattes. Here are some of the best coffee shops in Orange County, CA.
Avatar Coffee Roasters
We stopped at Avatar Coffee Roasters in Santa Ana on our way down to San Diego one year. The interior is stunning as well as inviting, with rich green tiling and salmon-pink marble counter tops. I ordered a Spanish latte and thoroughly enjoyed it! Avatar Coffee is located in and near a high rise, so if you want to get some fresh air, there’s a park and seating at the end of the drive.
Cafe Cito
Cafe Cito was another fun stop in Santa Ana, but this one is downtown. It’s a small shop, so there’s not much seating, so I recommend taking it to go. The coffee is great, though, and they have a fun mural right outside. They also have handmade mugs that are super cute!
Reborn Coffee
Reborn Coffee is our absolute favorite coffee shop to visit when we go to Orange County. There happens to be a location within walking distance of our in-laws, so that’s part of it. BUT, it is phenomenal coffee and they are incredibly consistent with the quality and flavor. We love it!
Golden State Coffee
We went to Golden State Coffee in Placentia as we were passing through on our way to Malibu for the day. It was western themed (hello, Golden State) and so fun inside! It’s spacious and has some room division, so you can hang out or get work done. They also have their roaster on display through a glass wall, so that was also cool to see. I’d love to go back and get another latte and walk around the cute downtown strip! I also bought a cute latte glass for $12.
Sidecar Doughnuts
The first time I had Vietnamese coffee was at Sidecar Doughnuts. It’s basically just coffee with sweetened condensed milk - Jason ordered it and I thought it sounded weird, but once I tried his I could not stop drinking it! I still think about it sometimes. They have multiple locations in LA and Orange County.
Until next time - may your weekend be full of creativity and style.
